Hatchers Go in US Hockey Hall of Fame

The famed Hatcher brothers, Kevin and Derian Hatcher, will go down in history as two of the five members of the 2010 Class of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. The brothers have played in over one thousand NHL hockey games in their career.

They were both raised in Sterling Heights, and have played for the United States in numerous international hockey games. One of the brothers, Derian Hatcher is well known as the first-ever American captain of a Stanley Cup winning team. In 1999, he led the Stars to victory as captain to dominate the Sabres. Derian Hatcher also had a time playing for the Red Wings. The second brother, Kevin Hatcher is well renowned for scoring more than thirty goals in a season. This made him the seventh defenseman in NHL hockey history to achieve such a feat.
