The NHL hockey league has recently announced their partnership with Huggies. They have joined forces to create Hockey for Huggies. Fans of any hockey team currently playing in the NHL league can help address the problem of insufficient diapers for the American population! Any fan can text the name of their favorite team, or any team, in the NHL league to 501501 (United States) and 20222 (Canada) to donate 5 US dollars to supply a baby with some diapers. This unanticipated partnership comes as quite the surprise for all the hockey fans!

HBO 's show "24/7 Penguins/Capitals: Road to the Winter Classic", that followed the two teams for a month was a huge success. So much so that both, HBO and the NHL teams want to do it again next year.
They took the cameras indoors until the final outdoor game during the 4 part series. It was so exciting for fans and players as well. Now other teams are talking about allowing them access to their games. Even other sports leagues like the NBA and the NFL might consider it.
The hype and exposure the HBO series brought to the game has made it even more of a phenomenon.
The hockey league is so excited about the coverage, they might do another series during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Certainly the playoffs are the most attention getting event in all of hockey.
